OPEN CALL: ''DADDY ISSUES'' EXHIBITION

DADDY ISSUES explores the complexities of father-child relationships, reframing the term and challenging its meaning. We want to showcase diverse perspectives on these dynamics, for both negative and positive experiences. We're inviting artists to help reclaim their agency and redefine “daddy issues”, confronting misconceptions and creating a space to share, reflect and reduce stigma. DADDY ISSUES is a communal artistic project aiming to embrace anyone with an inner artist. The exhibition is entirely based on voluntary contributions.

WHO ARE WE?

Unestablished artists, Caroline, Christy and Nina, came together to explore this theme and process our personal histories through collective artistic expression. We teamed up with the collective Balkon Gallery to create a physical exhibition at KraftWerket. The project wants to bring forth various artistic backgrounds and experiences, including artists who don’t have an art academy background.

WHO CAN APPLY?

This open call is open to everyone over 18 who wants to participate. All formats are welcome: paintings, photographs, sculptures, film, performances, poetry, etc.

The exhibition will be held in Balkon Gallery at KraftWerket at Valgårdsvej 2, 2500 Valby.
