ursuppe is looking for artist-editors
ursuppe is an artist-run and anti-authoritarian platform cooperative for contemporary art in Denmark with three core functions:
- An open submissions platform for exhibitions, performances, and screening archives.
- An events calendar with an integrated map and feed.
- Highlights curated by artist-editors.
We are preparing to host our first remote workshop at the end of this summer, where we'll open up for members to our working groups. However, we are already looking for artist-editors to get involved.
Criteria:
- You must be an artist to join the artist-editors working group. Formal education is not required.
Role description:
- Content Management: Edit/proofread, publish, and highlight content created primarily by other artists and exhibition spaces using our content management system (Django). Access and instructions will be provided.
- Social Media: Add your highlighted content to our social media profiles.
- Feedback and Improvement: Participate in discussions and suggest improvements and changes.
- Ambassador: Help spread awareness of Ursuppe (applies to all working groups).
Additional Information:
- The responsibilities listed above are optional and can be molded by you.
- As a cooperative member, you will have ownership and decide how much you want to work. Currently, the effort required should be minimal.
- You will also have the autonomy to choose which content to highlight independent of the rest of the editorial group.
- Compensation is provided whenever possible, but not to be expected. Due to limited funds, it must be planned as we go and with the wider cooperative.
For information on other working groups (developers, sysadmin, organisers), please visit our about page at https://ursuppe.dk/about.
